[HANBOK] How to Store a Hanbok [EN]

How to Store a Hanbok.

A hanbok should be cared for carefully so that its beauty can be preserved for a long time.

After wearing a hanbok, do not store it away immediately, even if it has only been worn once. Dust, moisture, and invisible residues may damage the fabric or cause discolouration over time.

Pay special attention to the underarm area, collar, and cuffs. Sweat and natural body oils can accumulate in these areas and may cause staining or discolouration if the garment is stored without proper care.

For a durumagi or jeogori, gently brush off any dust before storing it.

For a skirt, the lower hem usually gets dirty first, so brush this part carefully. If the dirt does not come off with a brush, let it dry first, then rub it very gently and wipe it lightly with a clean damp cloth. If the stain remains, please consult a professional dry cleaner.
